Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Labor & Delivery for a night shift travel position at a Joint Commission accredited hospital in Henderson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed OB/GYN combined unit at a Joint Commission accredited Duke LifePoint hospital
• Labor and delivery patient population, following AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratios
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Approximately 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• No scheduled call, but staff may be flexed down based on unit census
• Floating is not required, but may occasionally be asked to float to a task or secretary role
• EHR: GE Centricity/Paragon
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications: BLS and NRP
• Fetal Monitoring certification required — intermediate level at minimum; advanced level accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Couplet care and LDRP experience required
• Some NICU experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care in a combined OB/GYN unit, including couplet care and LDRP responsibilities
