Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a fast-paced acute care setting utilizing a Philips 128-slice scanner and MEDITECH EMR.

Details

Acute care hospital setting in a CT department with 1 CT room
Adult and pediatric patient population
Common studies include strokes, STEMI, trauma, abdominal pain, head injury, kidney stones, and CTA
High volume of outpatient CTs scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Primary equipment is a Philips 128-slice CT scanner with a Philips 16-slice backup and Bracco injectors
PACS and Centralized Response Team Inquire System (CRTIS) are used in addition to MEDITECH EMR
12-hour shifts available on days (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
Weekend days required with variable weekend scheduling; every other holiday required
May be required to cover X-ray after hours from 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM when CT volume is low

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
Active ARRT (R) with CT CME requirements met, or ARRT (CT) certification required
Current BLS (AHA) certification required
Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable — pending licenses will not be accepted
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Candidates may not have been directly employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past 12 months (candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered)
A valid driver's license is required for consideration
2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

A radiation badge is required for this position
Orientation consists of 3 shifts of 12 hours each
No staff radiologist on-site
Department uses team scheduling
Fast-paced environment with a collaborative team; travelers in this department frequently extend and report a positive experience with the hospital and staff
All requested time off must be submitted upfront — additional RTO will not be approved after submission
