Description

American Traveler is hiring a CO-licensed RN for a PAT/Patient Navigator role requiring at least 3 years of orthopedic or med/surg nursing experience in a non-bedside, office-based perioperative setting.

Details

• Office-based, non-bedside position supporting surgical patients through the perioperative diagnostic and treatment process
• Performs pre-anesthesia testing (PAT) for surgery patients
• Patient population includes pre-surgical orthopedic and general surgery patients
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (4 days/week)
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license in Colorado (CO state or compact license) required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• ADN or higher required
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient or outpatient orthopedic nursing and/or med/surg experience required
• Must be physically able to safely work at high altitude (approximately 8,000 ft elevation)
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Acts as a clinical guide for surgery patients and their families throughout the perioperative process, with a focus on patient education, coordination, and positive outcomes
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• No RTO will be approved for this assignment
• Housing in Aspen is extremely expensive — travelers should explore nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs for more affordable options
