Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology (IR) position requiring at least one year of Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR experience and current AHA certifications.

• Full-time position in a hospital Interventional Radiology (IR) department
• Day shift schedule working 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Experience in Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR required for this role
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire
• ACLS certification from the AHA required within 6 months of hire
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of IR nursing experience (Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR)
• Proficiency in nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures applicable to interventional/procedural settings
• Ability to function independently in the specialty area following orientation

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, documenting responses to nursing interventions and physician orders, assisting physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and monitoring physiological data
• Additional duties include administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, educating patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and delegating tasks to support staff
• BSN is preferred but not required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may extend once for a total of 26 weeks; after 26 weeks, a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for another contract
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) is strictly enforced and must begin immediately upon booking — non-compliance may result in cancellation
