Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Med/Surg position in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

Details

• Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both AHA)
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Associate's degree (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• English proficiency required (speaking, reading, and writing)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include completing patient admissions assessments, developing and modifying individualized care plans, implementing nursing interventions, and maintaining accurate documentation
• Provides direct care to post-op cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients
• Performs hourly rounding and maintains unit-based competencies
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than one year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning after reaching the 1-year limit
