Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, including Level 1 Trauma Center experience, for an evening shift position at an academic teaching hospital.

• Academic Level 1 Trauma Center hospital setting
• CT Scan unit performing advanced imaging protocols including CT Cardiac, Stroke Perfusion, and Trauma studies
• Patient population includes ICU, Trauma, General Anesthesia, Sedation, and inpatient cases across a vast range of acuity levels
• Siemens CT equipment required; McKesson and Cerner preferred
• 5x8-hour evening shifts, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Holiday coverage required for at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Call required per facility policy

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience, with at least 1 year in CT specialty
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Current BLS, ARRT, and CT certification required
• Siemens CT equipment experience required
• Cerner and McKesson experience preferred
• Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• Active MO or Compact license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Any requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Perform advanced imaging protocols including CT Cardiac, Stroke Perfusion, and Trauma, as well as procedures for patients under General Anesthesia or Sedation
• Evaluate images for technical quality and assign appropriate priority level for radiologist review
• Utilize and maintain proficiency with the PACS image archival system
• Provide orientation, education, and training for new technologists and student technologists
• Assist with education and training of new physicians including interns, residents, fellows, and attendings as applicable
• Assist radiologists and physicists in developing new imaging protocols and techniques
• This is an academic teaching facility; candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced pay rate
