Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down Unit position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and night shift availability in a complex medical setting.

Details

  • Acute care step down unit within a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes pre-liver transplant, acute/chronic liver failure, end-stage renal disease, DKA, sepsis, acute/chronic respiratory failure, and heart failure
  • Special procedures include hospice care and immunoglobulin therapy
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
  • Floating required within the facility
  • 12-week contract

Requirements

  • Active LA or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
  • Prior step down or comparable acute care experience required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant RN experience (first-time travelers not accepted)

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Upon accepting an assignment, you may be designated to an emergency response team and required to remain at or return to the facility during an emergency event — candidates uncomfortable with this expectation should not apply
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to or during the interview process
  • All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
