Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position at a major academic medical center in Ohio, requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and night shift availability.

Details

• 22-bed PCU unit with an average daily census of 20 patients
• Adult and geriatric patient population with common cases including burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries
• Special procedures include burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
• Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system used on the unit
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other to every third weekend required
• Floating within the health system is required

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience required
• Experience with a similar patient population (burns, surgical, etc.) preferred
• Previous charge RN experience preferred
• Teaching or academic hospital experience preferred

• Position is based at a large academic teaching hospital

• A 30-day break between assignments is not required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs)
