Description

American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification and proficiency in abdominal Doppler imaging and transplants.

General Ultrasound department at a large 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
Daily caseload varies by day
Proficiency in abdominal Doppler imaging and transplant sonography required
3x12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
No on-call required
May float between the main campus and ART (Ambulatory and Research Tower) within clinical scope
Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of General Ultrasound experience
Proficiency in abdominal Doppler imaging and transplant sonography required
Current BLS (AHA) and ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification required
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
SC state ultrasound licensure is not required; license required if applicable
SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission and is subject to facility approval
Online orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
Teal tops and black bottoms are the required scrub colors
Parking is available nights and weekends with a one-time $20 parking pass fee
Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
