Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (WICU) position at a prestigious academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Surgical ICU experience and experience in a 500+ bed facility.
Details
- Work in a 20-bed adult Surgical ICU (Weinberg ICU) within the Department of Surgery
- Diverse patient population including Trauma, GI Surgery, Ortho/Neuro Spine, Transplant, Vascular, Surgical ENT, and General Surgery cases
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Floating required to areas of like skill set as needed
- Epic EMR used (experience preferred)
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Critical Care Certification (e.g., CCRN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current, strong Surgical ICU experience required
- Experience in a 500+ bed facility required
- At least 2 prior travel assignments preferred
- Trauma course completion preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- 13-week contract
