Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a short-term acute care hospital in Lancaster, SC, requiring prior travel experience and a minimum of 3 years of Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a 97-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12 schedule may also be considered)
• Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities may be required
• Charting performed in Epic
• Free parking on-site
• Royal Blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must be fully licensed prior to start
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Telemetry experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, preferred
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized

• Previous MUSC permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application and are subject to facility approval
• Pre-assignment online modules must be completed prior to the start date
• Attendance at staff meetings is required
• During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
