Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience, AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, and on-call availability.
Details
- General Surgery OR department within a regional medical center
- Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- Weekend work is required
- On-call responsibilities are required
Requirements
- Active NM RN license or current Compact state RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required, both issued by the AHA
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served
- Physical ability to perform prolonged standing and walking, heavy patient/equipment transfers, and extensive reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Visual acuity, hearing, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination within normal or correctable limits
- US Social Security Number required for consideration

- Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
- Ensures quality care is provided in a safe and efficient manner consistent with unit standards
- Works in a clean, well-lit, smoke-free environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays
- Schedule flexibility may be required due to unexpected changes or emergencies
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
- Local candidates are not accepted unless the position explicitly states 'LOCALS ACCEPTED'
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Copies of all certifications must be active and attached — expired certifications will result in rejection
