Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting at a Magnet, Level II Trauma facility in Alaska, with first-time travelers welcome and a minimum of 1 year of experience required.

Details

Outpatient clinic setting within an acute hospital (407 beds) recognized as a Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
Patient population is primarily mobile outpatients, with a high volume of follow-up cancer diagnosis cases
Procedures include IV placement, I-STAT lab draws, contrast injection, and post-processing of images
Required X-ray coverage areas: extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head/chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities
Preferred experience in fluoroscopy and enema studies
May float to cover X-ray within clinical scope to meet facility needs
5x8 hour day shifts, rotating Monday–Saturday between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM; exact start/stop times may vary based on unit needs
No Sunday or facility-observed holiday shifts
Charting via Epic (required)
Free on-site parking available
Scrubs provided

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
Current ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications required
Current BLS certification required
Epic EMR proficiency required
Acute outpatient experience required
Experience across required X-ray modalities including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head/chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities
Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
SSN and DOB required for consideration
License required if applicable

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position; any requested time off must be disclosed prior to submission, as post-offer requests may be denied
