Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step-Down position requiring cardiac and surgical experience, with a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and night shift availability.

Details

Step-down unit in a hospital setting
Surgical and cath lab patient population
Experience with chest tubes, epicardial wires, and sheath/radial band management required
Familiarity with cardiac drips (Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, etc.) required
Patient ratio is 4:1 on days and 4-5:1 on nights
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
13-week contract

Requirements

Active KY or compact RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
Two professional references required for consideration
Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a reduced bill rate
Candidates must be prepared to demonstrate cardiac dysrhythmia competency through a required assessment exam
