Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a night shift travel contract in Illinois, requiring Epic EMR experience and Level 1 Trauma background.
Details
- Emergency Department (ED) setting within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
- Night shift schedule: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with an expectation of being onsite within 1 hour
- A mandatory 2-week nights rotation is required of all travelers
- Epic EMR; experience required
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of ED nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, care plan development in collaboration with providers and families, execution and modification of nursing interventions, accurate documentation, and maintaining patient and staff safety
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for 1 year must either convert to permanent employment or complete a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health location
- RTO is not to exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
