Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position, 7p-7a
• OB/GYN combined unit within a regional health center serving Southeast Iowa
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor, 3:1 for couplet care
• Fetal monitoring equipment in use, including Philips Tracevue
• Meditech EHR (experience preferred)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other units within the hospital as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license required
• AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E.
• Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required; candidates with 1 year of experience will be considered if they have prior travel experience
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be dated within the last 12 months
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required — no exceptions
• All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification (child and adult) required

Additional Information

• Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Monday or Tuesday starts accepted
