Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring cardiac and neuro experience, with a night shift schedule and every other weekend commitment.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting with 276 staffed beds
  • CVICU unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
  • Cardiac and neurological patient population
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday rotation required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating within scope required, consistent with staff nurse expectations — travelers float first
  • Charting performed in Epic
  • Free parking available on site

Requirements

  • Active SC RN license or Compact RN license; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have it active prior to start
  • Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required (2 years preferred)
  • Cardiac and neuro nursing experience required
  • Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
  • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel rate

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • Candidates must complete orientation modules prior to start date
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
  • Scrub color required: Royal Blue
