Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Special Procedures unit at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital, working 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday.
Details
- Radiology - Special Studies department within a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital with 874 licensed beds
- Adult and pediatric patients from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
- Average of 25–30 patients per day
- Equipment includes 1 Siemens single-plane, 2 Siemens bi-plane, and 1 Canon bi-plane angiography systems
- EMR: Epic
- 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- On-call is required and rotated fairly among full-time, part-time, PRN, and travel staff
- No floating required
- Holiday coverage is expected unless time off is approved in advance
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience, with most recent experience within the last year
- Active ARRT-R certification required
- Current BLS required
- License required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Former employees who held a permanent position at any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
- Department is led by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager, supported by a diverse team ranging from new grads to long-tenured staff
- Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour with introductions; departmental orientation is approximately 5 days but may be adjusted based on traveler needs
- RTO requires manager approval
- Black scrubs are required for technologists
- Free parking is available on-site across multiple parking decks
