Description

American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Level IV Trauma Center in West Allis, WI.

• Work in a 2-suite MRI department at a 277-bed Level IV Trauma Center that is also a Primary Stroke Center
• Patient population spans pediatrics to geriatrics with case types including ortho, neuro, GI, and breast imaging
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 3x12 hour day shifts per week — Saturday, Sunday, and either Monday or Friday
• EMR: Epic
• Medication dispensing via Pyxis
• Equipment includes a Siemens 1.5 Tesla magnet
• No floating required
• No call or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• Active ARRT (MRI) certification and BLS required
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency with MRI-guided biopsies and breast biopsies
• Must be able to work independently and demonstrate strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills
• Cardiac pacemaker scanning is not performed in this role — relevant experience not required
• 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the last year
• Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
• Candidate middle name or initial required for consideration

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former employees of Advocate Health or any subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restrictions apply
• Unit support includes a Radiology Assistant, Radiologist, Lead or seasoned MRI Tech, 2 MRI Techs per shift, Transporter (1st and 2nd shift), Phlebotomy, RRT, and Hospitalists
• One-day facility and unit orientation provided
• Holiday coverage is only required if needed and will be discussed during the interview
• Time off requests must be approved by the manager
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
