Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry/Intermediate Care Unit position at an acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Details

• Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit at a 158-bed acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Epic EMR; experience required
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating within scope is required to meet facility needs
• Every other weekend required
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be accepted for consideration (please note when applying)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Orientation modules must be completed prior to or during the start of the assignment
