Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at an acute care Magnet hospital in Illinois, requiring at least 2 years of experience and on-call availability.

Details

Located in an acute care Magnet hospital with 222 staffed beds
Cardiac Cath Lab unit
Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, with a rotating day off
Some evening, weekend, and holiday on-call required; up to 10 on-call shifts per month on a 24/7 basis
Floating is required between two hospital campuses as needed
EMR: Epic (experience required)
Scrubs are navy blue and provided by the facility
Free parking available

Requirements

Active IL RN license required; MO state license also required at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Radial access and TR band experience preferred
Arterial sheath pull experience required
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Additional Information

Performs sheath pulls and assists with radial access procedures including TR band management
RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates (within 75 miles) are not eligible for this position
