Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Cath Lab unit serving an adult to geriatric patient population
• Average daily census of 8–10 patients across 3 rooms with 5 beds
• Required skills include circulating procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• EMR: Epic; medication dispensing via Pyxis; SBAR communication framework used
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Every third weekend required
• Approximately 10 call days per month required
• Floating within the facility and to a sister campus is possible

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred

• Local candidates are accepted
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• RTO maximum of 7 days per assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Travelers with 1–2 major holidays falling within their assignment period are expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work 2 of them — major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No scheduling requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted; the listed shift is firm
• Candidates must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 full year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
