Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma Center and academic teaching facility, requiring Siemens CT experience and at least 2 years of experience including OR and Level 1 Trauma backgrounds.

Details

• CT Scan department within a Level 1 Trauma Center and academic teaching facility
• Patient population includes ICU, Trauma, General Anesthesia, Sedation, and inpatient cases across a vast range of acuity levels
• Advanced imaging protocols include CT Cardiac, Stroke Perfusion, and Trauma studies
• Siemens CT equipment required; McKesson and Cerner preferred
• 4x10 hour evening shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM
• 50% of holidays and on-call coverage required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience with at least 1 year in CT specialty
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• OR experience required
• Current BLS, ARRT, and CT certification required
• Proficiency with Siemens CT equipment required
• Cerner and McKesson experience preferred
• Active MO or Compact license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Must be able to lift, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• Must be able to ambulate and remain active throughout the duration of the shift

Additional Information

• Perform complex CT imaging protocols including CT Cardiac, Stroke Perfusion, and Trauma studies across high-acuity patient populations
• Evaluate images for technical quality and assign appropriate priority levels for Radiologist review
• Provide orientation, education, and training for new technologists and student technologists
• Assist radiologists and physicists in developing new imaging protocols and techniques
• Assist with education and training of new physicians including interns, residents, fellows, and attendings as applicable
• Maintain accurate patient records and utilize PACS for image archiving
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced pay rate
