Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
Unit includes 11 labor beds, 2 ORs, a 2-bed PACU, and a 15-bed OBED/Antepartum unit caring for patients greater than 20 weeks gestation
Night shift schedule: 7pm–7:30am
4x12-hour shifts per week
Every other weekend required
Floating required
Holiday coverage required within the contract period
Epic EMR — proficiency required, no exceptions

Requirements

Active RN license — Virginia (VA) or Compact license currently in hand, no exceptions
Current certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, and NRP
Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience required
Epic proficiency required — no exceptions
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Two professional references required for consideration
Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients, including antepartum patients beyond 20 weeks gestation
OR and PACU support may be part of the role given the unit's full L&D surgical capabilities
Candidates may indicate a preference for a 3x12 or 4x12 schedule
