Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Scan Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT CT certification for a 13-week mid-shift assignment in Carlsbad, NM.

Details

• CT Scanner department in an acute care hospital setting
• Serves both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Procedures include CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures; also includes basic radiographic, fluoroscopy, portable, C-arm, and OR imaging procedures
• Studies performed with and without contrast media
• EMR: Medhost
• Mid shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
• 4 days of call per month
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT certification with CT designation required
• CT and X-ray experience required
• Graduate of an AMA-accredited radiologic technology program
• State radiographer license required if applicable
• Proficiency in CT scanning, fluoroscopy, portable radiography, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging
• Knowledge of surgical/sterile procedures, contrast media administration, and cross-sectional anatomy
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• All certifications must remain active through at least the first 30 days of the assignment

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations as prescribed by the referring physician in compliance with established policies and procedures
• Provide CT care to patients to obtain diagnostic quality images for radiologist interpretation
• Perform processing of CT systems and procedures involving surgical/sterile technique and cross-sectional anatomy
• Scrubs: any color
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
