Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced high-risk Labor & Delivery RN for a travel position at an acute care teaching hospital, requiring Epic/Excellian proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

• High-risk Labor & Delivery unit in an acute care teaching hospital (Level 3 Trauma)
• Day/Night rotation with 12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30 days; 19:00–7:30 nights)
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required to postpartum as needed, and to affiliate hospitals nearby
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Epic (Excellian) — experience required
• Scrubs provided by the unit

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and Advanced NRP
• Proficiency with Epic/Excellian EMR required
• Experience with C-sections/births, postpartum tubal ligations (PPTL), D&C, cerclage placement and removal, and waterbirths required
• At least 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• High-risk obstetric procedures are a core part of this role, including cesarean births, PPTL, D&C, cerclage placement and removal, and waterbirths
• Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the first day of the assignment
• Former permanent (staff or per diem) employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 months before being eligible
• RTO requests of no more than 5 days are preferred for this assignment
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• 16-week contract
