Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a 528-bed tertiary care hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license in hand and Epic experience.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a 528-bed tertiary care hospital in Rochester, NY
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 in a Med/Surg setting
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Floating is required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Requirements

• Active NY RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with peripheral IV line care and management
• Experience with respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management
• Familiarity with isolation precautions and rapid response/code team protocols
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
