Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Break/Float Night Shift position requiring a CA RN license and at least 6 months of Emergency or Critical Care experience.

Details

• Hospital-based position providing break relief and supplemental staffing coverage across multiple departments
• Departments covered include Emergency, Medical-Surgical/Swing Bed, and Skilled Nursing
• Patient population spans all age groups (neonatal through geriatric)
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered CA RN license required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience within the past 2 years
• Minimum 6 months of recent experience in an Emergency or Critical Care setting required
• Must be trained and competent across all assigned departments
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Additional Information

• Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and operates under delegation from the Nurse House Supervisor
• Will independently implement the nursing process to provide safe, individualized, age-appropriate patient care across assigned departments
• Expected to maintain required proof of competency for all departments served
• Must be familiar with Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs), including alarm management, patient restraints, infection prevention, two-step patient identification, medication labeling and calculation safety, and identifying safety and suicide risks
• Full orientation is provided and compensated
