Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a floating ICU-level position requiring at least 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and strong critical care skills including vent management and telemetry.

Details

• Floating position covering ICU-level patients and below across multiple units, with approximately 75% of time spent with PCU-level patients in ED overflow
• Patient population includes respiratory failure, ESRD, AKI, COPD, GI bleeds, DKA, sepsis, general post-op, CVA, ETOH, and overdose cases — no craniotomies, major traumas, or major cardiothoracic cases
• 16-bed ICU unit
• Skills utilized include cardiac rhythm interpretation, telemetry monitoring, vent/trach and BiPAP management, invasive line management, ostomy care, general drains, chest tubes, and IV medication titration
• May serve in a lead role during ED holding
• Charting via Epic (required); Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing system used
• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS required; CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency with cardiac rhythm interpretation, telemetry monitoring, vent/trach/BiPAP management, invasive line management, and IV medication titration required
• At least one supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start
