Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a MS/Tele position in a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting, requiring recent MS/Tele experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting with a high-acuity patient population requiring extended hospital stays prior to discharge or transfer
• Patient population includes post-open heart surgery, cystic fibrosis, vent weaning, pulmonary fibrosis, and high-volume sepsis cases from wounds
• Patient acuity ranges from med-surg level up to intubated and trached ventilator-dependent patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00–19:30)
• Self-scheduling with every third weekend required (approximately 8 weekend shifts per contract)
• Floating required within the unit/facility
• Charting via Epic
• Located within a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license; pending license acceptable but must be in hand prior to start
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• MS/Tele experience within the last year required
• BSN preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• ICU nurses are frequently floated to this LTACH unit given the elevated acuity of the patient population
• Local candidates are accepted, though candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are subject to a reduced pay rate
• The facility is the only tertiary hospital between Kansas City and Omaha, serving a broad regional patient base
