Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry/Med-Surg unit with a 1:6–1:7 patient ratio, requiring AHA BLS, ACLS, and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting, caring for medical-surgical, telemetry, and observation patients
Patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7, though ratios may fluctuate with census and call-ins
Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30), working either 3x12 or 4x12 per two-week pay period
Every other weekend is required
Floating within scope of practice is required
Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
13-week contract

Requirements

Active KY RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Valid driver's license required for consideration
Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

Orientation is held on a bi-weekly schedule
Patients are short-stay MS/Tele and observation cases
