Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Work setting is a Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MS Tele) unit at a regional health center in Ottumwa, IA
• Patient population includes adults across all age groups
• Patient ratio is 1:6 with CNA and LPN support staff
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• EMR system is MediTech
• Floating may be required within a 25-mile radius of the facility
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification preferred but not required
• HWC (Handle With Care) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Iowa State Investigative Network (SING) background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• 10-panel drug screen including opiates required
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• Immunization titers from within the last 12 months required

Additional Information

• Travel experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Monday or Tuesday start dates are accepted
