Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) travel contract in Madison, WI, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled care environment and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation facility on the east side of Madison, WI
- Specialized programs for stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions requiring inpatient rehabilitative services
- Adult patient population with high acuity needs, functioning similarly to a Med-Surg unit at times
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night shift also available: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
- On-call responsibilities required
- Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy and Sara Plus, slide boards, vital sign machines, EKG machine, and BGM
- EMR: Epic
- Floating is not currently required, but candidates may be asked to float to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes in the future
Requirements
- Active WI or Compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
- Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred given patient acuity
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere
Additional Information
- CARF-accredited for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty Programs; also accredited by The Joint Commission
- All nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed for patient safety
- 13-week contract duration
