Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department float pool position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a similarly sized facility and TNCC certification.
Details
- High-volume, high-acuity inner-city Level 1 trauma center ED
- Float pool assignment primarily supporting the ED with boarder patients, who may include med/surg, stepdown, or ICU-level patients
- May be required to float to an acute care unit as needed
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
Requirements
- Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a similarly sized Level 1 trauma facility
- Proven experience managing critical, fast-paced, high-volume trauma cases with diverse and severe patient presentations
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to boarder patients across varying acuity levels, including med/surg, stepdown, and ICU populations, within the ED setting
- An ED skills checklist matching the specialty is required for consideration
- Copies of all certifications and an active license must be provided for consideration
