Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Rockford, IL.

Details

• Diagnostic imaging department with CT and general radiography responsibilities
• Performs diagnostic CT procedures as well as radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable radiographic exams when assigned radiographer duties
• 3x12-hour shifts per week with shift windows of 8:30 AM–9:00 PM or 10:00 AM–11:30 PM
• Weekend rotation, holiday rotation, and on-call rotation required
• Flex hours and overtime may be requested based on patient care needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• Active BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT(CT) certifications required
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required
• Active state license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Prepares and administers contrast media and manages IV access as required by procedures
• Corroborates patient clinical history with the procedure and ensures documentation is available for radiologist review
• Positions and immobilizes patients to optimize anatomic imaging while prioritizing patient comfort and safety
• Initiates basic life support when necessary and applies patient safety principles throughout all aspects of care
• Provides practical instruction for students and clinical partners
• Maintains inventory and provides input on supply and equipment decisions for the assigned area
