Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2 position at an acute care teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 3 years of PACU experience and Epic (Excellian) proficiency.

Details

• Work in the PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2 unit of a 317-bed acute care teaching hospital
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Shifts available in 8-hour and 12-hour increments with start times of 0530, 0700, 0800, 0930, and 1100
• Day shifts scheduled as 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30 or 11:00–23:30)
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Charting performed in Epic (Excellian); experience required

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required; pending license accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required
• Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Level 3 trauma, Magnet-recognized teaching hospital
• Scrubs are provided by the unit
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests of no more than 5 days are preferred for this assignment
• Block scheduling may be considered
• Pre-start modules are required to be completed before the first day of the assignment
• Former permanent staff or per diem employees must have been separated for at least 3 months from their last shift worked to be eligible
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
