Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Missouri.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 233 staffed beds
- Nuclear Medicine department with up to 12 cases per day across all three rooms
- Procedures include stress tests/studies, hepatobiliary, V/Q scans, thyroid, parathyroid, GI, bone scans, sentinel nodes, and I-131 therapies (non-therapeutic)
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, on a rotating schedule (7:00–15:30, 7:30–16:00, 8:00–16:30, or 8:30–17:00)
- No on-call or call requirements
- Floating within clinical scope may be required per facility policy
- No floating to sister facilities required
- Free parking on-site
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- RT(N) or CNMT certification required
- Valid Missouri state license required for consideration; Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
- BLS required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Proficiency with stress tests/studies, hepatobiliary, V/Q scans, thyroid, parathyroid, GI, bone scans, sentinel nodes, and I-131 therapies
- Ability to work independently and open/close a department
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Pewter/gray scrubs required
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Allied travelers may remain on assignment for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required
- Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
