Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2 years of experience, active TN or compact RN license, and AHA certifications.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Floating to Med-Surg required; candidates must be pre-cleared for 1:7 patient ratios when floated
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the facility's service area; local candidates are not accepted
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract RNs are expected to actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside their regular patient care responsibilities
