Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position requiring an active NY RN license, Epic experience, and the ability to care for high-acuity patients including ECMO and IABP on a night shift schedule.

Details

• 16-bed MICU in a hospital setting
• High-acuity patient population including sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management, respiratory failure/shock, CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella
• Standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on patient acuity
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating is required
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of MICU or critical care RN experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
