Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract at an academic teaching hospital in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and an active DC RN license.
Details
- Short-term acute care teaching hospital setting with 402 staffed beds
- Cath Lab unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Required skills include central line insertion/management, IV placement, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, procedural sedation monitoring, ventilator monitoring, PA lines, and isolation precautions
- Charting performed in Cerner
- Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Paid parking on-site
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required — this is a hard requirement
- BSN preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered provided they have Cath Lab, Interventional Vascular Lab, or Interventional Radiology experience
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
- Scrubs are provided by the unit
- All time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of application
