Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic IMC unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and IMC/PCU background.
Details
- Intermediate Care (IMC) level surgical unit specializing in Surgical, Urology, and Thoracic patients
- Multi-level care environment encompassing adult inpatient acute, telemetry, and intermediate care with continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring
- Pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care provided on the unit
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 13-week contract
- Floating required as needed to areas of like skill set within the 11 West IMC and Med/Surg levels
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of current RN experience
- IMC or PCU experience required
- Surgical patient experience required
- Dysrhythmia management skills required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Experience at a large hospital (500+ beds) required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides intermediate care nursing to surgical, urology, and thoracic patient populations
- Care responsibilities span multiple acuity levels including telemetry and advanced monitoring
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- 1–2 prior travel assignments preferred
