Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Direct Observation Unit (Telemetry) position at a Level 1 Trauma facility in Illinois, requiring Epic experience and a valid IL RN license.

Details

Direct Observation Unit (Telemetry) in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
Epic EMR used; experience required

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to exercise independent judgment
Proficiency in written and spoken English

Additional Information

Assess IV sites every 4 hours and initiate new IVs per facility policy
Maintain documentation standards as evidenced by passing quarterly chart audits
Attendance at 5 out of 6 staff meetings per year required
RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within this health system
