Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU position in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, Epic proficiency, and an IL RN license.
Details
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Neonatal ICU (NICU) setting within a Level 3 or higher facility
- Patient population includes neonates requiring intensive care monitoring and intervention
- Epic EMR experience is required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2–3 years of NICU nursing experience required
- Experience at a Level 1 Trauma, Level 3 or higher NICU facility required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Minimum education: ASN required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include completing initial patient assessments, developing and modifying plans of care, and participating in multidisciplinary rounds
- Monitors intake and output for neonatal patient assignments
- Assists mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care practices
- Administers medications using barcode scanning technology
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support the healthcare team
- RTO is not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
