Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, performing routine CT and X-ray exams with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT (R) certification required.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography) department
• Department includes 1 CT scanner and 2 X-ray rooms
• Performs all routine X-ray and CT exams, including CTAs, averaging 10–20 CT scans and approximately 100 X-ray exams per day
• Equipment includes a Canon CT scanner and GE X-ray
• EPIC used for EMR and FUJI for PACS
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• 12-hour evening and night shifts; schedule is primarily 9:00 AM–9:00 PM or 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with potential for 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts
• Weekend shifts may be required
• Standby/on-call may be required with a 1-hour response time
• May be required to float to the OR

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CT and routine X-ray imaging
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ARRT (R) certification required; CT registry is not required but CT training is mandatory
• Proficiency with routine X-ray and CT exams, including CTAs
• Experience starting IVs (outpatient only)
• License required if applicable
• Driver's license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing all routine CT and X-ray exams, stocking and cleaning rooms
• On-site department orientation is provided
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; scrubs are not provided by the facility
• A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the staffing agency, as the facility does not supply one
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being eligible to apply
• Travelers may not work within WVU Medicine for more than one cumulative year without a 2-year break
• 2 supervisor and peer references are required for consideration, including a supervisor reference from any permanent facility worked in the last 12 months
• A skills checklist completed within the past year is required for consideration
