Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a combined PCU/Med-Surg position with a focus on neuro patients, requiring Epic proficiency and night shift availability.
Details
- Combined PCU and Med-Surg unit with floating expected between both
- Primary patient population is neurological, with overflow patients from other units
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-5 depending on acuity
- EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) monitoring and patient interviewing is part of the role
- Epic EMR experience required
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license in good standing, with no licensure hits
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Training and experience with EMU monitoring and epilepsy patient interviewing required
- 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include caring for neuro and overflow PCU/Med-Surg patients, floating between units as needed
- EMU duties include monitoring and interviewing epilepsy patients
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — requests made after submission will not be approved
