Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic proficiency.

Details

• 13-week contract at an acute care teaching hospital in Rochester, NY
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit; specific unit assignment determined at time of offer
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7
• Epic EMR required
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating every-other-holiday basis
• Floating within skillset required

Requirements

• Active NY single-state RN license required (NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Acute care experience within the past 6 months required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Cardiac monitoring skills required, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and Rapid Response/Code team activation
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required, including peripheral line care and management
• Experience with oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management required
• Knowledge of isolation precautions required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• The facility is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center with specialized institutes including cardiology, oncology, and neuroscience
