Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring Epic proficiency and a background in stroke and post-cardiac cath care.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 110 staffed beds
- Telemetry unit serving an adult and geriatric population, including stroke, post-cardiac cath, neuro spine, total joint replacement, general surgery, wound care, diabetic, medical COVID, and oral surgery patients
- Patient ratio of 1:4–6 with an average daily census of 16
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
- Every third weekend required
- Floating between two hospital campuses as needed
- Epic EMR; experience required
Requirements
- Active MO RN license required; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry or step-down RN experience required
- Experience caring for stroke patients required
- Experience with post-cardiac catheterization patients required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Scrub color: light gray/silver
- Some initial orientation may occur outside of the standard contract shift hours
- Free parking available on-site
- No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work up to 18 months continuously, after which a 3-month break is required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
