Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a night shift, weekend-only block assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and certification through ARDMS, ARRT, or RVT.

Details

• Hospital-based general ultrasound unit
• Friday, Saturday, and Sunday block schedule — this schedule is firm
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• No on-call required
• Procedures include general ultrasound (abdomen, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, renal/bladder, breast, thyroid, small parts), OB/GYN (all trimesters, fetal anatomical survey, Doppler studies), vascular studies (carotid, lower/upper extremity arterial and venous, aorta, renal artery duplex), and procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, cyst aspiration, and transplant studies
• Patient populations include adult, obstetrics, NICU, emergency department, and vascular
• Uses Philips ultrasound equipment and PACS; Philips experience preferred
• Epic EMR; experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience
• Active certification through ARDMS (AB, OB/GYN, BR, or RVT), ARRT, or RVT required
• BLS required
• License required if applicable
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered

Additional Information

• Perform general, OB/GYN, vascular, and procedural ultrasound studies across a range of patient populations
• Philips machine experience is preferred; candidates with AB, OB/GYN, or RVT specialization are welcome to apply
• Epic charting experience preferred
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana; a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could produce a positive result
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
• All required certifications must be submitted for consideration
• License must be in hand prior to start
