Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with vascular, general, and OB ultrasound experience for a hospital-based position in Burlington, WI.

Details

• Hospital-based ultrasound unit with 2 exam beds; also performs portable exams throughout the facility
• OB and general patient population with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Procedures include general, pelvic, vascular, and OB ultrasound; breast ultrasound experience is a plus
• EMR: Epic; Philips ultrasound machine experience preferred; McKesson PACS experience a plus
• 8-hour day shifts rotating between 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, and 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday
• On-call required: 1 weekday call shift per week and a 1:4 weekend call rotation with a 45-minute response time
• Holiday coverage expected on a rotating every-other basis
• No floating to other units required

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of hands-on experience in ultrasound, with most recent experience within the last year
• Required certifications: BLS, ARDMS – Vascular, and either ARDMS – General or ARDMS – OB/GYN
• Active license required if applicable
• Proficiency in general, pelvic, vascular, and venous insufficiency ultrasound required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year required for consideration
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Supported on-unit by fellow sonographers and a supervisor, with additional support available from a nearby sister facility
• Any color scrubs are acceptable

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restrictions apply
• Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months to be eligible
