Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Women's Center in Wytheville, VA, requiring 2+ years of L&D, postpartum, and nursery experience on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Women's Center unit within a 100-bed, Joint Commission-accredited community hospital
• Specialty coverage spans Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery
• Unit includes 4 LDRP beds, 2 antepartum beds, and 10 postpartum/post-op/C-section beds
• Patient population includes adults and newborns
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN and state requirements
• EHR: Philips Intellispace Perinatal and Meditech Magic 5.6.7
• Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• AHA certifications required (specific certifications must be current at time of consideration)
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in L&D, postpartum, and nursery
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Charge nurse experience is preferred
• Scrubs may be any solid color; the facility can provide scrubs
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for this travel assignment
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
